Meet the Champion Cock in the Nairobi International Trade Fair 2019: From the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences, University of Nairobi
The supreme champion Cock in the just completed Nairobi International Trade Fair 2019 was from the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences. The improved indigenous cock from Field Station farm is fed with feeds formulated within the College, ensuring high quality bird, well fed and effective in breeding for better productivity. This contributes to quality breeds for small scale farmers in support to food and nutritional security in the Country. Quality fertilized eggs or chicks can be purchased from the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences, Field station farm. The college also offers short term training courses on quality poultry farming to groups and interested farmers at subsidized fees.
